Offline features

The encyclopedia stores its downloaded content on your device. Item identification is processed on your device; recognition photos are not uploaded. Favorites, reading history and preferences are stored locally.

AI conversations and accounts

AI questions use an online service. Messages, images you choose to attach, conversation history and saved memories are processed to provide answers. If you use voice input, audio is sent to a transcription service and the resulting text may be stored with your conversation. The service uses an anonymous identity before account linking; linking an account supports recovery on another device. Do not include information you do not want processed by the AI service.

AI data sharing

To answer, Isaac Codex sends your messages, selected images, referenced entries, conversation history and saved memories to its Supabase service and AI providers: OpenAI through OpenRouter, Anthropic directly or through OpenRouter, DeepSeek, and Alibaba Cloud. Alibaba Cloud also processes memories and images when needed.

If you use voice, your recording goes to Alibaba Cloud for transcription. Online searches send relevant query text to Brave Search or Parallel. Only the providers needed for the selected feature process your data.

AI can save helpful details as memories. Manage or delete them in My memories. You can stop sharing in Settings. Declining keeps the offline encyclopedia and on-device scanner available.

We ask for explicit permission in the app before AI data sharing. Selected chat images upload after permission when attached; voice recordings are sent only when you use voice input. Declining or closing the prompt does not grant permission. You can withdraw permission in Settings on each device. Previously sent data is not recalled by withdrawal. Delete chats, memories or your account to request removal of stored data; payment and usage audit records may be retained as described above.

Messages, AI responses and tool results are also stored in Supabase and Langfuse for troubleshooting. This content has no automatic expiry; request deletion through the app. Necessary billing and usage audit records may remain.

We require service providers to protect personal data to the same or an equal standard as this policy, limit processing to the disclosed purposes, and apply appropriate security and retention safeguards. Provider retention and legal obligations vary; this is not a promise of zero retention. Data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, China and Singapore. Purchases

Apple or Google handles payments. RevenueCat helps manage subscriptions and access. We do not receive payment-card details. Store purchases and personal conversation accounts are separate; restoring a purchase does not itself restore conversations.

Service providers

The service uses Supabase for account authentication, application services and storage, Resend for verification and recovery emails, Cloudflare for website hosting, RevenueCat for purchase access, and AI providers to process submitted questions and attachments. The mobile app uses PostHog for product usage events and diagnostic services for reliability. These services may process data outside your country.

Website and analytics

This website has no waitlist form. Your manual language choice is saved in browser storage. If website analytics is configured, it respects Do Not Track and records page views without session recording, form text or photos. The app records product interactions, device/app information, an analytics identifier, subscription status and approximate location derived from the network IP address. Analytics does not contain raw searches, chat text or recognition photos.

Your choices

Use Settings → Account & recovery → Delete account in the app, or isaaccodex.com/account-deletion on the web, to request account deletion. Chats, memories and uploaded images are deleted; necessary payment and usage audit records are retained. Background cleanup retries temporary failures. For access, correction, deletion requests, or an email previously supplied to the former waitlist, contact [email protected]. Subscription cancellation is managed through the store where you purchased it.
